Lyric & Leathers: Ride for the Lyric Opera
Calling All Riders!! Save The Date!!!!
The Lyric Opera of Kansas City is calling ALL RIDERS to our 2nd annual Lyric & Leathers ride. We hope you’ll join The Lyric as we do opera without the tux. Just put on your favorite jeans and join our 2nd annual motorcycle ride. By being a part of this ride, you’re helping to prove that opera is hip, young and not as stuffy as people think. After all, Mozart may not have thrown on his leathers and gone for a ride, but our Artistic Director does. Be a part of this unusual combination of lyrical notes and worn leathers and you’ll see that opera isn’t always black-tie. Register today!!!

The funds raised from the Lyric & Leathers ride will help underwrite the Lyric Opera's 2008-2009 season and our innovative and successful education and outreach programs.

10:00 a.m. Register/Sign-In
All Drivers and Passengers must sign in before they can ride.
11:00 a.m. Drivers/Passengers leave with lead riders
11:30 a.m. Last Drivers/Passengers Out
1:30 p.m. Grilled steak sandwiches provided by The Majestic Steakhouse, motorcycle display from Gail’s Harley-Davidson, raffle prize drawing, and more at the Lyric Theatre

Where:
The day starts with registration at the Lyric Theatre, 1029 Central, Downtown KC, MO. Drivers and passengers will depart on the NEW 75+ mile route to Weston Missouri, stopping for light refreshments and a short rest at McCormick Distilling Co. Inc., and returning to the Lyric Theatre for the day’s activities.
